There is no suggestion the white substance is an illicit drug.

The Rabbitohs have released a short statement on Monday afternoon confirming the club is aware of the image.

“The South Sydney Rabbitohs have been made aware of a photograph circulating through social media of Latrell Mitchell following a personal appearance in Dubbo on the weekend,” the statement reads.

“The club has informed the NRL Integrity Unit about the photograph.

“The Rabbitohs will be making no further comment at this stage”

In the photo, Mitchell appears to be in the company of an unidentified blonde woman and there are currently no details around the timing or the location of the image.

Mitchell has endured a suspension and injury-plagued 2024 season on the field, appearing in just 11 games for the Bunnies this year.

He helped NSW secure this year’s State of Origin series, but sustained a foot injury in round 18 and is not expected to play again this season.

Mitchell had been in Dubbo over the weekend to conduct coaching clinics.
